Between us, we have many years of experience of Board, senior management and business ownership in both the legal and financial services.
Experience
I thrive on coaching leaders and teams to maximise their potential and raise their performance. My coaching style is solutions and results focussed. I combine deep empathetic listening with a supportive yet challenging approach to facilitate thinking in clients and to give them clarity. This leads to impactful and transformational results for my clients.
My executive coaching work draws on my 15 years’ experience as an employment lawyer, working in top 50 to medium sized law firms and regularly advising leaders and business owners across a spectrum of industry sectors on HR and employment law issues. This experience enables me to quickly understand my client’s goals and the opportunities and challenges they face, both personally and professionally. I support my clients to achieve their goals, overcome challenges and accelerate their success.

Personal
I love a challenge, especially one that involves me being active and possibly taking me out of my comfort zone. Here are 3 things you may not know about me:
- I am a brown belt in kickboxing – 1 belt away from a black belt!
- Whilst at university, I did an internship with the Public Defender’s Law Office in Chicago, USA, defending people on death row – I am pleased to say that capital punishment has since been repealed in the state of Illinois.
- I have been great white shark cage diving off the coast of South Africa – an amazing and thrilling experience.
Experience
For over 30 years I have enjoyed leading, developing and coaching teams and individuals in the financial services, banking, and mutual sectors. My focus has been to give people and organisations belief, courage and skills so that they can make the changes necessary to fulfil their full potential.
As a coach I work with individuals predominantly from the business community who want to fulfil their potential and develop themselves, listening profoundly to “their story”, working with them to make “the shifts” in their thoughts and actions to allow them to grow and develop as individuals, leaders and colleagues.
I have spent much of my career leading and developing successful teams in the financial services and the mutual sectors. At the Woolwich and Barclays, I was the national sales manager for the IFA arm, Chair of the British Friendly Society taking them from virtual obscurity to becoming the 6th largest provider of income protection in the UK and finally leading the City location of St James’s Place which managed over £10bn assets and generated new AUM of over £1bn.

Personal
Sports and time spent with family and friends have always been my passions away from work. I still attempt the occasional “Sprint Tri” and like nothing better than climbing BHA mountains in the alps in France and Italy. I still harbour an ambition to speak proper conversational French.
